Pink Wood April Aromatics 2017

A lovely fragrance from a wonderful natural house. I love the woodiness of it, although I would like more woods. With a note of oud, I thought it might be a darker fragrance than it is. The woods are coupled with a clean rose. Not a heavy nor antique nor even a soapy rose, but a very smooth, slightly sweet, garden-fresh one. Tanja Bochnig does natural rose fragrances beautifully, and Pink Woods is no exception. The base is fairly balsamic, albeit a too sweet for my own taste. Smells strongly of benzoin, as benzoin smells very much like vanilla, and I smell a vanilla-like scent. While it's not for me on the whole, I think it's a lovely addition to the April Aromatics line.
