Ehsas Khas Arabian Oud 2019
1
Boss Bottled, but with the dial set to "Loud".
Essentially, "Ehsas Khas | Arabian Oud / العربية للعود" is well described by the title. For me, it’s actually a bit like turning a gain dial on the Boss Bottled Eau de Toilette bottle and cranking up the whole fragrance.
The components all seem to be of slightly higher quality and are more recognizable in the overall blend than in the conventional Bottled DNA. The apple note, for example, is similarly present and perhaps even a bit piercing, crafted like in Layton.
"Ehsas Khas | Arabian Oud / العربية للعود" stands on its own as a distinct and wonderful fragrance. In summary, I would agree with the statement from user Anza: Boss Bottled in better quality and with better performance.
My starting point on the way to this fragrance was indeed the search for a Boss Bottled alternative. I still find Boss Bottled Eau de Toilette to be a beautiful DNA that also brings a bit of nostalgia for me. I also have an old opened bottle at home. The problem: As is well known, Boss Bottled performs about as well as water.
However, with "Ehsas Khas | Arabian Oud / العربية للعود", I believe two interesting options for use have now emerged:
Either you use it, as intended, as a standalone fragrance. Or, for those like me who are also looking for an old Boss Bottled Eau de Toilette nostalgia experience, there is now the option to layer the two. You are combining two very similar fragrances, of course. But what happens then is that "Ehsas Khas | Arabian Oud / العربية للعود" can also be smoothed out again if needed, providing a solid base for Boss Bottled Eau de Toilette.
For anyone longing for a reissue of the old Boss Bottled Eau de Toilette DNA or trying to revive it, this is definitely worth a try!
