An oudmage of festivity.
One thing in advance - I was able to buy this fragrance for 19.99€/100ml directly from Lattafa and what is offered olfactorily for this price is really unbelievable.
I can absolutely confirm the proximity to Interlude. Lattafa has once again done a great job here and created a fragrance that is almost identical for this price, hats off!
About the fragrance: The opening comes with a campfire roast of a pimento-pepper mix, not too spicy, but with power. The spiciness subsides after a few minutes: Oud, incense and mossy, earthy tones provide surprise and complexity in between until the fragrance gives way to woody, warm aromas of oriental spices and amber notes, succumbing to a delicious, festive, honey (or pastry?)-like sweetness as it progresses.
In my mind's eye, I can see myself walking out of a cold, wet winter's day into my grandmother's oven-heated apartment at Christmas, the cookie dough in the oven after plum and allspice jam has been boiled down. A melancholy, beautiful scenario for me. I completely share the warm and cozy Christmas associations with many of the previous speakers.
Many of my colleagues stop for a moment when they enter the staff room and say: "It smells like Christmas in here!" and know that it's me again who has chosen this scent. This year, I've already been asked when it's going to happen, as it's already November and the weather is pretty miserable. This fragrance doesn't just seem to lift my spirits and make me feel more contemplative.
H/S are top. Bottle really beautiful.
What remains for me to say - for 19.99€ (!) a fragrance of incredible quality that lures the senses like the scented hand from old Mickey Mouse episodes contemplatively towards the holidays.
I'm already looking forward to the coming time.
