That's right, the new collection is coming... Cuir de Russie & Inverno Russo sound the most interesting to me based on the notes. However, I often don't have much luck with the brand - it tends to be too vintage-floral or animalistic for my taste. 😅
I've already seen the moon prices on regular designer fragrances... everything has become so expensive... for me, niche is almost becoming cheaper... but this brand has always been a rip-off.
Well, look at that, it's no wonder it's a secret tip for some. Very, very unique and, as you've skillfully described, it expresses very selected, old raw materials. It has an enormous presence. If you had to categorize it, it would definitely be labeled "masculine chypre." I'm really curious to see if the successor can keep up. We'll know soon enough ☺️. Great state!
I was pretty sure I had already reviewed Antiquity. 😅
You were right: there was definitely a 0.5 point bonus.
They should have taken the entire 5th Collection back in 2019.
But I don't mind some fresh air in Antiquity II.
Let's see when the Russians arrive. 😋
This intensely fragrant piece here does smell quite antiquated.
Antiquity II will be delivered in four to six weeks at the earliest @ElAttarine First, the single releases are still coming up. https://www.parfumo.de/ Parfums/Areej_Le_Dore/antiquity-ii-extrait-de-parfum
Antiquity: 5th Collection.
I couldn't resist this peach-aldehyde vintage charm (it does smell a bit fermented) from the first test. And YES - Antiquity has a very aged scent.
Associations: greasy glaze over antique nicotine wood paneling.
Animalistic, waxy pronounced furs, dusty-sweet earthy patchouli melt together like hot liquid candle wax on sensitive skin into Chypre-moth-Oud balls.
Vintage materials have been skillfully transformed into this authentic film noir.
Fragrance notes - Source Sealedessence:
● Top
Peach aldehyde 1930, Bergamot 1940-1950
● Heart
Clove 1920-1930, Cambodian Oud 1975, Angelica root 1930-1950, Patchouli 1940-1950
● Base
Cuir de Russie Accord 1930-1950, Muscatone 1930-1950, Patchouli 1985 and 2017, Amber resin, Oakmoss
Thank you so much @Ropanski2020 for letting me try this dark woody, murky decant. When this collection was released, I wasn't really into Russian Adam yet. Antiquity II gives me hope. 😊 It's not the same anymore, and it shouldn't be - AlD can and should evolve.
But I'm really looking forward to it.
It can sometimes work well with French vintage interpretations.
The noble vampire with me. 🧛🏻♂️
