A day of rest
The first rays of sunshine appear on the horizon. The flowers stretch their heads into the warm, brightening light as the sun slowly rises higher over the still dreamy Indonesian landscape.
The twittering of birds now wakes even the last plants and animals from their dreams. The lotus-blue lakes reflect the sunlight and radiate their deep tranquillity. The mirror-smooth surface is broken only by the blossoms and leaves of the blue lotus.
The sun takes its course over the ancient forests, where the treetops provide shade at the zenith. There it now stands in full splendor, warming and watching over the earth. It moves on and bathes the landscape in amber light, warming it with its last rays before it goes out on the horizon.
***
Malik Al Motia opens with an incredibly beautiful, bright floral scent consisting of jasmine, lotus and davana. The whole thing is supported by Motia Attar. A very natural and calm start, to which a little bit of Thai oud is added in the course of the fragrance, but which remains rather subtle.
In the drydown, it becomes beautifully balsamic and ambery, woody. The flowers slowly become quieter and so the fragrance remains for the last few hours, restrained and with a warm fragrance aura. The sandalwood adds a touch of creaminess and blends in very well here.
For me, one of the most beautiful and wearable fragrances from the release. This pleasant calm and the restrained sillage go perfectly with the fragrance notes. I particularly like the jasmine and blue lotus.
