Chocolaty, medicinal, smoky oud and roasted chestnuts (tonka). Bitter, earthy (geosmin) but also sweet (creamy resins). Artisanal Boccanera!

@CivetOnly well, sounds good, once again! These Areej don’t seem to disappoint. Thoughts thus far?

@CivetOnly i guess whenever things are more on the musky side, I tend to find them more animalic than the others in that category. Very nice though

@Longevity tbf I do poorly with coffee in scents, it always reminds me of something else. Animalic idk, I remember it being a bit bitter (which could be the coffee as well) and earthy.

@CivetOnly this one is def more chocolate than coffee to me too. The Areej I’ve tried thus far don’t joke around as far as animalic goes. Great stuff

@CivetOnly that sounds good, it’s what has always bothered me with Gualtieri: the ideas are there, but it relies too much on military grade synthetics… buuuut it’s also way more accessible and affordable. The conundrum is strong.

@Longevity bangers only. Regarding this one - imagine taking everything synthetic and unpleasant away from Boccanera, then replacing it with stunning natural ingredients.
The idea of chocolaty (more chocolate than coffee to my nose) petrichor remains, but high quality oud and resins obviously take it to new heights.
