Not Going to be Everyone's Cup of Tea
This is by far the most challenging Argos fragrance released to date and definitely different than TOB, Danaƫ, and Adonis Awakens. The opening to me was very off putting with a sharp, camphorous, resinous, animalistic, medicinal top notes of labdanum and oakmoss. After letting my bottle macerate for months I decided to try this one again and to my surprise some of the rough edges had softened and I enjoyed it much better than when I originally purchased it. Now is it my favorite from the house? No. Argos has so many great fragrances it would be hard to beat the ones I previously mentioned but I can see this one growing on me.
Only people who love dark foreboding leather type fragrances will appreciate this one and only suitable for very cold weather. Once it reaches the base notes it really turns into something special. In conclusion, I love this brand and the attention to details from the packaging to the wonderful bottles that are a work of art. This wasn't love at first sniff for me but it is an acquired taste and definitely got better after it macerated.
