post-revel remorse
Saturday is the scent of overindulgence, of fun gone sour. The good: this is the most realistic passionfruit scent I’ve encountered. It’s pulpy, tart, almost overripe. The bad: the dissonance between the ripe fruit and the powdery iris. Something about the iris pulls neon purple, cloyingly artificial, and makes me think of a just-sanitized metro station restroom. The ugly: I think this clash makes the passionfruit feel rotten, where I get this faint bilious, animalic tang. Like scrubbed-away vomit.

On paper this looked perfect. To my nose, it sadly didn’t jive. Based on the reviews, it seems like this is a bit of a splitter, and I dearly wish I had whatever Saturday-yummy gene many others do.

Mental Snapshot: Margarita night with the girls. They dare you into ordering the Fishbowl Challenge. Passionfruit too, not half bad. (You win the challenge). (They hang your Polaroid above the bar). But somewhere on the sweaty, blistery stumble home you feel anything but a victor. You shelter in a 7-Eleven restroom, vowing to never taste a passionfruit again.

tl;dr: tropical acid reflux

I Broke My Sample and I am Devistated!
I don't know why this isn't rated higher because I fell in love from the first spray. That passion fruit note is sooooo good. Its light, sweet, and realistic. Then the magnolia kicks in and it took me back to a memory of walking under a magnolia tree right after a drizzle on a warm night. This scent balanced fruit, citrus, and floral without getting cloying or syrupy. The middle is a little powdery and floral, a little reminiscent of really fancy deodorant. For the dry down, I can still pick up some citrus with a fuzzy warm suede. I can still pick them up 6 hours later. The projection is average.

magnolia forward with slightly overripe passonfruit that at times reads like BO and the rhubarb is a bit too tart to enjoy; just not for me

Very cool- sweet like candy. Like a peach ring or an Arizona mango iced tea.

Too much on the musty side. Sour and no sweet. I wish this worked for me :(

All sour and no sweetness at all. Similar to Friday - oily, bitter citrus.

actually passion fruit! fresh, tangy, full-bodied. short lifespan, tasty, but one-dimensional.
