Notes soft and shimmering like silk
To me, this is Zadig & Voltaire This is Her's elegant older cousin. They don't really smell alike, but they are the same type of scent, just executed differently: Vanilla scents with a noticeable chestnut note, clean and versatile for daytime use.
Soie Malaquais is less sweet and more complex.

The foundation of the scent is a warm vanilla adorned with roasted chestnuts. It's gourmand-ish, but doesn't smell completely edible, there is something clean and smooth about how the notes are done.
I never noticed that silk has a specific scent, but the texture of this fragrance definitely feels silky.
The subtle additions of rose and blackcurrant help with that.
To me this is a chameleon of a scent that plays hide and seek with your nose. One moment I get a pop of juicy currant, the next there is a touch of sticky caramelized chestnut, and then you try to catch these notes and everything smells like creamy rose and soft vanilla again.

I love the bottle, the contrast of the porcelain-like pattern and the dark red liquid is so intriguing and special. To be honest, I expected a different kind of scent from this presentation, maybe darker and heavier on the rose and currant - but I still find the actual fragrance quite fitting after smelling it.
All in all, it's a beautiful scent.

Amazing
I think that generally the brand is underestimated, probably because it has very limited distribution. But overall they create amazing scents and this one is probably the best. I was dreaming about it for a year and finally i have it! It's such a unique gourmand perfume with bright blackcurrant and something like a chestnut notes. Very bright and stays all day. And the bottle is simply amazing!

Michelin Star Gourmand
I’m a dessert person, but I find most gourmands sickly sweet. This fragrance was the first to have that bittersweet richness I was yearning for. Nutty, mildly-spiced cocoa. Not saccharine milk chocolate, but more of that expensive semi-sweet chocolate that comes wrapped in wax parchment. It smells expensive. (As it should, if you’re popping three-hundo on a bottle). Warm, enveloping, heady. A dark floral current makes me imagine burgundy, velvet-petaled roses. The chestnut dwells on the skin, even after the cacao and silk has left the party.

Longevity: ~8h, but a silky, dark nuttiness that lingers for over 24h on fabric. (I can't believe I just typed "silky, dark nuttiness").

Mental Snapshot: You’re on your fifth date. It’s at their mum’s sprawling Tudor manor in the countryside. (She’s gone for the weekend). You’re going to get frisky before the fireplace, but you’re still on your best behaviour. The couch you’re cosied up on cost more than your car.

Tl;dr: Michelin-star gourmand.

diasagreeable cocoa
The opening of this is oddly foul to me, and the friend I was with who also smelled it said the same. The dry down is a soft rose with a creamy chestnut. The different notes, the juicy fruits, something that reminds me of patchouli but might actually be the non sweet cocoa that reads odd to me in the heat, and the texture of silk get shuffled around throughout wearing.

It shapeshifts on my wrist which is truly interesting. It also succeeds at having this silky/dry texture, if you've ever had an ice peach tea, the dryness of that in your mouth is similar to what this perfume manages to evoke.

When it smells like rose and chestnut it's very beautiful, but the cocoa in this that decides to show up whenever ruins it for me. If you're looking for an interesting blend of dried roses and non-sweet chestnuts and chocolate that truly evokes a texture than I would recommend trying this.

I didn't like it but I respect it. It's a very well made perfume.

Versatile Elegance
Elegant, unassuming, and lovely, from opening to dry-down. It also lasts a long time without being overpowering, and has a scent profile that is somehow classic in a way that's memorable rather than boring.
Equally wearable for more refined/ solemn special occasions and for those times when you want to make people think you are super classy while you're out doing your shopping.

I don't get a lot of the bergamot in the top notes, but otherwise, the fragrance pyramid description is spot on. I found all the notes to be wonderfully balanced. Not too floral, and not too gourmand, but just the right amount of both.

A rose petal dipped in a chocolate chestnut spread. That’s what this smells like to me. Also, the scent isn’t constant, it changes.

I haven't found anything like her. Currants spritzed with bergamot turn to may roses in nutty silk. Divine! An absolute signature for me.

Nutty, fruity, gourmand goodness that radiates warmth. Sweet, but not tooth-achingly so, and just so velvety that you'd want to huff gallons

One of the most beautiful women scents I smelled. Like bathing in a milk bath with the most luxurious soap & rose petals. So pretty & smooth

Suffocating, cloying rose. Filled the room with one spray and lasted ages. So sad this one was a scrubber for me.

Reminds you of every sweet perfume you've ever smelled before - yet somehow unlike any of them. IMO a bit generic for the price point.

Silky elegance. Semisweet fruity opening into smooth, creamy chestnut with background of unsweetened cocoa and vanilla. Stunning.
