too fresh and too aquatic - somehow exaggerated

So… fresh it is, that cannot be denied. Atlantis starts off quite citrusy - bergamot, lemon, and along with it this sea salt feeling that almost smells like a breeze over a hotel pool. At first, you think: yes, summer, cleanliness, somehow vacation. But then... something comes through that just doesn’t sit right with me. It smells like soap.

The blue hyacinth adds a floral touch that has a bit of a soapy quality - or better said: it becomes soapy. Musk and cedar try to ground the whole thing, which sounds good in theory - but in practice, it somehow mixes unpleasantly for me. It’s a scent that, shortly after spraying, almost turns my stomach for a moment. Not extreme, but I noticed it clearly the first time: something in the composition doesn’t get along with my skin or my nose. And unfortunately, that doesn’t really go away. The scent lasts forever!

Still: There are surely people for whom the scent performs better. For fans of very fresh, aquatic fragrances, it could be something - if you don’t have issues with the musk.

Conclusion: For me personally, it’s just worse. Not a scent that I would say: “I have to wear this again.” And that little gag reflex was unfortunately not a one-time slip. It’s a pity really, the concept sounded good.
