Essential indeed my dear What's on?
A lemony fragrance that would be great for summertime.
It opens fresh and bright before smoothing down to a beautifully soft skin-scent with a striking resemblance to ageless chypres such as Mitsouko.

May be classified as unisex, but somehow, I imagine it being rather stern on a woman, while it would project a very dignified and gentlemanly aura on a man.
Take your pick.

"Essential" carries its name perfectly because it is up there with the best traditional colognes, and is a strong contender as a staple in a man’s wardrobe.

You can’t go wrong with this one.
It is a classic, and will never fall out of fashion.
Suitable for both casual and professional environments, it is quite lovely.

Uncommented Fragrance No. 149

All the guys who are only interested in a strong sillage and endless longevity can really stop reading here immediately, without hesitation and without a guilty conscience towards me. I am not resentful, and I don't care about differing opinions anyway.
However, if you like to choose a fragrance that is close to the skin, fades quickly because it was not composed to last all day (and why should it, after all, one wants to refresh with another scent at some point and not burden their surroundings with penetrating odors), then you should definitely check out this brand.
I became aware of it on the homepage of The Different Scent, which offers a rather exciting and at least partially quite different selection of fragrances, and I ordered two samples from the brand. There is nothing more from Askett & English (you probably can't find a more traditionally Anglo-Saxon name).
Personally, I prefer the Essential variant even more than the Absolute Cologne, for which I have at least written a statement. In both cases, we are dealing in a way with Eau de Cologne / wash colognes, with the difference that Essential is more aligned with traditional colognes like Farina, 4711, or Acqua di Parma Colonia, while Absolute, following its name, stands on the border between a richer, denser Eau de Cologne and a Cologne, thus being composed to be somewhat more floral and fruity than this one. Essential, on the other hand, traditionally starts with fleeting citrus notes (lemon, bergamot), then shows traditionally herbal traces (rosemary and/or basil), adds a traditionally and very British hint of lavender, and fades away - completely traditionally - with a microscopically small sigh of moss and wood. Neroli is - despite the traditional composition - apparently really not included.
All of this is wonderfully subtle, stylishly refreshing, and distinguished close to the skin, anything but ordinary or obscene.
Everything I expect from a good fragrance. No less, but also no more than being well-balanced.

Citrusy sweet and juicy, warm green and herbal, dusted with lemon-lavender shimmer.
Chaste floral soap takes over. Final green and gone.

English cologne water that evokes memories of Italian colognes with its tart and strong citrus notes: citrus, herbs, lavender.
