Unique Princess
When I first started collecting perfumes at one point I had something from every princess. The original, glam princess, rock princess, and preppy princess. This is the only princess I ever really liked and held onto. It's one of the few perfumes I actually used up completely. It was something I even had to buy again, even though I'm less impressed with it than I used to be, because it just haunted me. (You guys know how that is)

While the other princesses were based soley around sweet, fruity, and floral notes glam princess throws you a curve ball. Along with the marshmallow and pear that make this a "princess" you also get a very strong cashmere wood note and ambrette seed. The cashmere wood note is creamy and spicey, and the ambrette seed gives it a feel somewhat reminiscent of dior homme intense 2011. Infact when you look at the notes in dior homme intense 2011 with glam princess they both have strong ambrette seed, pear, and woody notes. Glam princess to me smells like an extra sweet, cheaper, more synthetic, girlified version of dior homme intense 2011.

When I first heard some young girls calling this fragrance too masculine I didn't understand at all until I owned a decant of DHI. This is certainly feminine but it's not your average princess. Glam princess to me is confident, with a good blend between "girly sweet" and "tomboy spicy/woody". For a princess unlike the others give this one a go :D

P.S. I'm 22 and it suits me just fine ;)
P.P.S I bought the 100 mL bottle because I wanted to collect the ring but it won't even fit on my thumb D:. Shout out to all my fellow tiny handed girls, my ring finger is a 4.5. These rings are huge, maybe a size 10 if I had to guess.

Gummi bear princess
Personally I think that this particular fragrance is aimed towards the younger segment of the population. For a few days now I've observed the particular crowd of people that test this new fragrance and their reactions. A majority of the positive reactions have come from young school-girls with rather girly attributes.

Girls like myself, heading towards the end of their teenage years and facing the beginning of their womanhood may not find this fragrance overly impressive.

I thought that Glam Princess was a little predictable. In my opinion it's your typical, overly sweetened fruity gourmand in a colourful yet childish bottle.

The fruity notes are more like candy and gummi-bears rather than the actual representation of the real fruit. The heart of orchid and orange blossom was pleasant, however I felt as if someone had dribbled syrup all over the delicate bouquet, and the drydown in my opinion, was sweet, warm and woodsy, and far too similiar to the original Princess drydown.

The scent is not boring, however it's not overly exciting either. To be honest I didn't expect much, so I'm not disappointed, I'm just frustrated in a sense that I can't find a Vera Wang fragrance that I actually like.

Another unfortunate aspect of Glam Princess was its lack of lasting strength which was rather poor in regards to the high price tag which should suggest quality.

Very Shy Little Princess
Since I stumbled upon "Glam Princess" on Parfumo yesterday, I was tempted to reach for this fragrance again this morning. Moreover, it hasn't been rated yet, and someone has to make the first move, as they say.

But let's take it step by step: among the ingredients listed above, I was particularly intrigued by Ambrette and Marshmallow, and I was curious to see if - and if so, how strongly - I would be able to sniff out these two ingredients. So I quickly refreshed my knowledge about what Ambrette actually is by definition. For those who don't know but might be interested: it is a very precious oil obtained through distillation from the seeds of an Indian plant. The oil is dark and has a warm, deep, sweet musk scent that is said to have a strong erotic effect. So far, so good. I have owned "Glam Princess" for about two years. I bought it back then because it was offered at an insane price and because I found the bottle so beautiful. I always thought the scent was "quite nice," but "quite nice" is actually too little for me when it comes to a fragrance. So this morning, with the background knowledge of the ingredients, I gave it another chance to convince me. With vanilla, orchid, and ambrette, one would rightly expect a "wow fragrance." Unfortunately, this wow effect is still missing. No matter how hard I try: I really struggle to recognize the listed scent notes. Perhaps this is also due to the cold temperatures. I doubt that the fragrance will survive the morning. Fortunately, I have the spray bottle with me and can reapply (which will surely happen within the next half hour). I can imagine that it might come across better in a warmer season. Perhaps it will get another chance next spring.

Conclusion: for me, not a glamorous princess, but at best the little sister of Princess Lillyfee!

First cucumber, then wallpaper paste. I'm wondering if it could be guava. I like to drink it as juice, but I'm not familiar with it as a scent.
