Lightly Sweetened Tea Scent
Indeed, I am immediately surrounded by a fine Oolong tea note: slightly bitter, slightly floral. Bergamot adds a bit of freshness, but it is not prominent. - When did I actually last drink Oolong? There’s a filled tea canister on the shelf. So, it’s tea time this afternoon. - After a while, I also perceive a light smoky note. You can already tell: 3 x lightly. But clearly and distinctly Oolong.
The tea note lasts about an hour for me. That’s the moment when I have to turn my nose towards my wrist to further investigate how it develops. It becomes warm and spicy, I think, incense, in a rather subdued way.
Indeed, "Amber Empire" picks up again after a while. It becomes warm, spicy, and sweet. The base does not have the radiance of a freshly sprayed fragrance, but I can still perceive it when I move, even if I’m not pressing my nose to my skin. This is also the moment when I feel reminded of the base of my previously commented fragrance "Ambra del Nepal": soft, warm, spicy, light caramel, gentle wood note. It doesn’t get quite as sweet and not quite as caramel-like, but a resemblance cannot be denied. This is all the more surprising when I then find out that Amber is not listed in "Amber Empire," but myrrh is.
Conclusion: I like "Amber Empire," but it doesn’t present itself as a "must-have for the collection." Perhaps it’s also a bit unfortunate to test two amber fragrances (even if one is fake [new German]) in succession. So: Those who prefer a tea note to start a fragrance rather than an herbal one, and who like it less sweet and caramel-like, should choose "Amber Empire." It is overall the finer and more elegant scent.
I thank Lenni1985 for the testing opportunity.

I really need to rethink my old statement; I guess I wasn't a fan of this scent back then.. :D
