Suitable for Meditation
It was a blind buy from an Indian perfume house and surprisingly arrived after 11 days. Inside the brown, very solid box is a veritable wooden case, luxuriously packaging the 30ml bottle.
What first strikes the nose is a biting, sharp medicinal note that quickly gives way to vetiver and ginger notes. Then I catch a distant whiff of orange blossom crossed with incense. Many of the notes included, I don't recognize at all - like Chinese jujube, davana, and Gandhi root oil. The fragrance journey continues ... now I perceive clove. The scent becomes increasingly warm. However, on the paper strip, the sharper notes still prevail. On the wrist, it smells warmer.
The two spritzes behind the ear envelop me in a complete cloud of spices as I walk. It doesn't smell typically oriental. A composition of spice scents dominates. From my perspective, it is definitely not a scent for women, nor for young men. The fragrance is not sweet, nor loud. I believe it is a meditation scent: it cools and calms. Over time, notes emerge that vaguely remind me of "Opium (1977) (Parfum) | Yves Saint Laurent," but without all the sweet accompanying notes.
The perfume now feels relatively compact, it doesn't break down into separate notes. The calming effect intensifies. Unique.
