Avon Passion

Even though Avon has manufactured hundreds if not thousands of perfumes, I still get a little excited when a new one is announced. Typically I hold onto it for maybe a month, grow bored of it, and give it away. I held off buying this until there was a sale or more reviews on it. I fear this fragrance will suffer a similar fate; but for now, I am enjoying it.

The top notes are unremarkable. Starfruit and jasmine clash to make a very sweet, synthetic, almost vinyl/plastic accord. At first I thought, "another one bites the dust". Less than an hour later, I was treated to a creamy, sweet bourbon vanilla extract. I'm not one to usually wait for a dry-down because I would prefer to like my fragrance from beginning to end. I purchased a bottle of this for peanuts on eBay
(shipping cost more than the perfume itself). Given the price point, I don't mind waiting for that delicious, beautiful dry-down.

The bottle has some heft to it and doesn't seem cheap compared to other fragrances in its price range.
