A Touch of Nothing...
...describes the sillage of this perfume quite well.
Upon application, I perceive a rather alcoholic-synthetic note. And orange. The hyacinth is hardly noticeable, and the plum is nonexistent for me. I would have expected it to be a bit sharper, as if there were pepper in it, but perhaps I was misled by the piercing synthetic opening.
The floral heart note is somewhat present, but for me, it is far from being complex. I can only faintly smell some citrus remnants from the top note and the lily of the valley.
The amber essences of the base note are very, very subtle.
Overall, this little fragrance is hardly perceptible after just a few minutes unless you are closer than 10 cm to the skin (at least that's how it behaves with me and my wrist). So, it is hardly possible to overapply it, which is a good thing in itself. This makes Summer Basics quite suitable for everyday wear; however, one can expect a bit more from an EdT.
I must confess: In between, I thought this perfume was a mistake (I have had it in my collection for a while). It's not that bad after all. However, you can get more for your money. Scent-wise, it is positioned somewhere between lightness and blandness, and before you can really categorize it, it has already disappeared. For summer, there are certainly better alternatives. As for the naming, I would like to agree with my predecessor: The name doesn't really fit. For a really hot midsummer, I find the scent too subtle and too light. It is more suited for spring/early summer when the temperatures are pleasantly around 20 degrees, and you can walk around in airy clothes without sweating much.
