"Laura" is a fragrance that I wore a long time ago and for many years, and with which I associate many beautiful memories and moments. It was my signature scent for a while, and whenever a bottle ran low, I had to get a new one.
Over the years, however, my collection grew larger, and more and more newer and more interesting fragrances were added, so I reached for
Laura Eau de Parfum less and less often.
My mom has always liked "Laura" on me, so I gifted her the bottle. Since then, it has become her signature scent, and has been for many years.
Whenever I smell it somewhere, I immediately think of my mom and the lovely feeling of coming home.
But let's get to the fragrance itself.
Laura Eau de Parfum starts off very fruity and sweet.
I immediately perceive watermelon, which smells sugary sweet and juicy, albeit a bit synthetic, which I don't see as negative at all.
Peach and apricot join in, giving "Laura" a slightly creamy and powdery nuance.
The fruity notes persist as the fragrance becomes more floral.
Jasmine brings a floral, honey-like note into play, and lotus adds a slightly spicy freshness.
In the drydown, "Laura" becomes a bit woodier with sandalwood, giving the fragrance a velvety texture.
Peach and especially watermelon are prominent throughout the entire fragrance journey and are always well noticeable.
Unfortunately, the longevity is only moderate. I perceive the fragrance for about 2 to 3 hours, a bit longer on clothing. The sillage is also rather soft. I would have wished for a bit more power here.
Laura Eau de Parfum is a very feminine, very fruity-fresh, and sweet summer fragrance that never becomes too much and certainly doesn't bother anyone. It is light, unobtrusive, clean, playful, and carefree.
It suits every occasion and every age. It is a fragrance that you can't go wrong with.
"Laura" is rightly a timeless classic for me, which, despite its 31 years on the market, has not gone out of style even today. I still love to smell it after so many years, especially on my mom.
