Quest for Blue - Tannen galore
Is this the final form of Chrome? After several flankers that have taken different directions, I was curious to see how this final form would manifest and which variant it would take as a basis.
It has become "Chrome (Eau de Parfum) | Azzaro." The influence clearly leans towards the green/woody direction. You can also slightly detect the berry note from "Chrome Extrême | Azzaro."
The opening is fresh, but very quickly the main part with the fir and generally woody sweet tones comes in. There is relatively little aquatic and citrus here. Overall, it is very powerful, deep, and strong in aroma. Definitely not a 0815 shower gel or freshie.
In the end, there is too little of the core DNA present; instead, aspects are emphasized that are good but do not capture the essence of Chrome for me. From a design perspective, it is definitely a perfume and a good scent. However, it is not a blind buy just because you like Chrome; it is too woody for that.
Longevity and sillage are quite decent, not as bad for me as described below.
