Sultry Sandalwood

Very first impression, gave me Estée Lauder Sensuous combined with Guess Gold vibes. I was expecting a spicy aquatic but it is much more waxy and deep. I feel like it is going to be an excellent winter perfume, which was what I bought it for, just wish I could pick up on more of the watery notes. Not getting any fruits or melon at all…it feels like black licorice.

After wearing this more and as it has aged, it has become much more sultry and defined. Longevity has greatly improved and it has turned into a clean cashmere sandalwood that feels snuggly and warm.

Pleasant berry fruitchouli with non-linear development

This fragrance has a very clear berry note in the opening (strawberries and cherries I can identify), followed by some other fruits in the mix (a slight lemon flavor, followed by a melon note). Then iris and woody notes (moderate, not spicy) emerge, always accompanied by the sweetness of the berries. The finish is full of woody notes with some powdery iris and clean patchouli, and I can also smell a little ambroxan.

In terms of projection, I find it strong (but I am an underspritzer as I often find fragrances too strong)...Floratta my Blue creates a cloud that is constantly noticed by people around me. I could clearly detect it on my skin for almost 8 hours.

It is a pleasant fragrance, well made and with a non-linear development that was unexpected. It reminds me a lot of other designer fragrances, as the note profile follows a very familiar progression these days. Unfortunately, it is too sweet for my taste.

In any case, would love to learn more about other O Boticario fragrances and try other Floratta flankers!
