It was a blind purchase during online shopping (around 2005). Beate Johnen was known to me from there as a presenter and later also as a good cosmetics brand, nothing more. One day, when she held this beautiful perfume bottle in her hand and joyfully sprayed it on herself, I became curious. I had already purchased several fragrances by Frederic Haldiman blindly and had good experiences with the TV descriptions. So I ordered Wild Desire as well. And I did not regret it here either. The scent has a room-filling reach, so it’s not for wallflowers. It starts with various flowers. It could be lily of the valley, garden carnation, or osmanthus. Then soft woods and vanilla or tonka bean come into play. Ms. Johnen spoke of caramel, but I ultimately didn’t find it that caramel-like, otherwise I wouldn’t have liked it. I have to write this from memory, as my bottle only has a little fragrance left. In any case, Ms. Johnen has created a wonderful, sexy scent that starts off loud but then transforms into a soft, gentle companion. It is a magnet for men and has earned me many compliments. When I wanted to repurchase it, it was already discontinued. Very unfortunate.
