Always Trouble with Betty
After Betty's sisters, the Style Twins, behaved extremely snobbishly during our previous encounter, I had no desire to meet the rest of her family. Given the blue bottle, I wouldn't have considered this family member anyway, as I would have imagined a fresher scent. However, when I read Nemorosa's comment, I changed my mind. The words "vanilla" and "powdery" always make me jump out of my seat, so I decided to at least give this lady a chance and take a closer look at her.
Since I will soon be traveling to the Green Island, I am also looking for a nice scent in a small travel bottle that won't bother the numerous sheep there or my fellow bus passengers. So I quickly went to the drugstore to test it, where the small size is currently on special offer. In the meantime, I have conducted two tests and come to the following conclusion: For me, it's a no. Absolutely no. The lack of scent development does not bother me. No. 2 is not too sweet; it is also somewhat powdery and vanilla-like, but this comes across as very synthetic to me. What really bothers me, however, is that it smells, with all due respect, "cheap" on me. I'm sorry to say it like that, but that's how it is. It must be the skin chemistry again. No. 2 doesn't smell unpleasant, but I feel absolutely uncomfortable with it. There are a hundred scents in the lower price range that smell better to my nose.
My fellow travelers and the sheep probably wouldn't have been disturbed by Betty No. 2, but I certainly would have been. So Betty will definitely not accompany me, and I believe I will keep my distance from her family in the future. This is not going to work out between us; we simply do not understand each other.

There's something to that. Number 1 definitely doesn't come off as cheap at all. After all, it is number one :-)

Oops, just saw this... hmmm, I can handle Betty's Pure Style pretty well, but I know what you mean. Once your nose is spoiled, it worries the wallet :o)

No, I don't find it cheap-smelling, but rather quite pleasant. It's always a matter of taste.

The old red style was good, but unfortunately, "cheap" describes the others perfectly.

I can't really get along with Betty either, except for Style by Night. Too bad it's not for you. Here's a consolation prize for you.
