Hmm, I can hardly smell the carrot at all, but there's a lot of real orris root, which has a very plant-like quality due to its earthiness. You really have to like that; I love it! =) And luckily, this one isn't at all cloyingly sweet like, for example, 'Iris Crush,' which I didn't like for that reason.
