Totally 80s in all the right ways
Bijan is the quintessential mens 80’s scent
Opening with a banquet of citrus fruits and aromatics. Blending into the honeyed bouquet of florals woods and spices all of which play into the base of vanilla leather a dash of more aromatics and the all powerful patchouli. This is the everything bagel of fragrances. The epitome of excess. However usually fragrances that have this much going one are a mess at best. Bijan for men however, is masterfully blended to perfection it works.
While the current formula is not as powerful as the vintage (which I own also). It has been well cared for and maintains the overall scent while also for todays standards powerful as well.

Good review but I have an opinion on today's fragrances. You said that the current version of Bijan is powerful by today's standards. Well modern fragrances, with some minor exceptions, are junk for the most part. You know why?? Because there ARE NO STANDARDS ANYMORE. Just look at the current climate of designer Fragrances and you'll see what I mean. To experience a half decent fragrance nowadays you have to go the niche route and overpay by hundreds of dollars. Today's fragrances can simply be summed up by 3 words. QUANTITY OVER QUALITY. :)
