Cool Refreshment

During the weeks-long heatwave last year, all of Germany longed for water. Water to drink, to spray on, to jump into, or to shower with. Water!
L'Eau Pure - pure water - brings that fresh water feeling to the skin for a moment.

L'Eau Pure is very fresh and lightly cooling. The herb-sweet freshness mainly comes from green tea and lime. You can detect rhubarb, kiwi, and lotus. Later, the freshness fades, leaving a light, fresh, well-groomed, slightly woody scent on the skin - very pleasant.

No significant scent development, no expensive ingredients - a lovely, not artificially sounding freshness that feels like a fresh shower. L'Eau Pure is a young and uncomplicated feel-good fragrance. It doesn't last long, and as a body spray, it shouldn't. It is meant to refresh. It is best when generously sprayed on after showering. In hot weather, I take the bottle to the office and give myself a quick spritz when I get too warm. It provides a nice freshness kick in between.

The Biotherm fragrances are not perfumes in the true sense but are sold as body sprays, meaning they also contain caring components. What I really like are the included essential oils of sage and lime. Sage is often used in heat - even for internal use - and lime has a very refreshing and invigorating effect.

L'Eau Pure is not exactly cheap as a body spray, but it is really great. The matching shower gel is not necessary; the blue one from Nivea is similar and works just as well. In extreme heat, it is a very pleasant, lightly cooling scent that gives you the feeling of "freshly showered."
