Great for Splashing on Hot Days: An Aquatic Kick That Doesn't Smell Like Toilet Cleaner

I am not a fan of aquatic fragrances. Period. You can chase me for miles with "Cool Water Woman" by Davidoff. Also, for example, "Mediterranean" by E. Arden did not exactly blow me away.

However, "Eau Pure" passes my scrutiny quite well. It is aquatic - logically. But it doesn't have that aura of toilet cleaner and all-purpose cleaner (fragrance direction usually "ocean breeze") that most aquatics have. No - "Eau Pure" is more like a BALINESE SPA GARDEN IN THE EARLY MORNING: The earth is still exhaling the heat of the previous day, which mixes with the slightly spicy coolness of the night. Above all, the exotic flora is steaming and pulsating, enticing the senses. This is how an exotic paradise garden smells to me.

The fruity-citrus component is not overpowering. It is just present enough to prevent the aquatic aspect from becoming too dominant and one-dimensional. I also can't detect any cheap Eau-de-Cologne stench (I usually haaate that note). "Eau Pure" is very rounded, soft, subtly fresh, and somehow paradisiacal, without being overwhelming. It is somehow wonderfully green, but softly green, not Chypre-green. The green tea note slightly reminds me of E. Arden's "Green Tea," but here it is much more successful and rounded.

The longevity is predictably poor, but I consider it more of a body splash for warm days. After all, you tend to spray more. It's just as well that the scent doesn't accumulate into an increasingly concentrated fragrance cloud throughout the day. In that respect, completely fine.

For summer, I will get a generous bottle. I've already been using the shower gel for a while and enjoy it very much (I can't imagine my bathroom without the "Eau Pure Shower Gel"!!). At some point, I received a sample of the fragrance and have now tested it extensively. Test passed!!

Now I am just very curious about the other Biotherm fragrances. Especially "Eau Vitaminée" interests me.

I recently got the shower gel when I bought Seathalasso EdT. Do you think the Eau pure EdT smells the same as the shower gel? I find a strong minty note in the shower gel, but fortunately, it doesn't last too long. The rest is pure freshness... no sweetness. Is the EdT like that too, or does it end up just smelling like sweet wood? I really like the shower gel, but I'm cautious when it comes to EdT.

You've captured the scent very well in fitting, beautiful words. I don't find it typical aquatic either; otherwise, I wouldn't like it.
