Dear Men: Thigh-high Stockings or Striped Overknees?

Nothing against the classic notion of sexiness or eroticism. But, dear male world:

Isn't an easy-going, broad smile sometimes more appealing to you than the eternal photo face with pursed lips and that slightly myopic porn look?

Aren't nighttime antics now and then a welcome change from deadly serious, elaborately staged dirty talk?

Isn't a snug white cotton T-shirt sometimes more mouth-watering than "drama, drama, drama" in stilettos?
*************************************************************************

What I’m getting at: There’s nothing wrong with the typical bombshell fragrances! They are great, they are meow, they love to be complicated and skillfully flirt with the senses. But I strongly protest against the classic categorization of zesty-fresh scents as asexual, girlish, tomboyish, sporty, or whatever.

Citrusy-fresh can be so sexy!

Best example: “Eau Vitaminée.” It is exuberant and appetizing! It is buoyant, uncomplicated, radiates joy of life and healthy vitality. It is natural, sunny, cheerful, and has no interest in dramas. It is fresh. It is not bitter. It is irresistible.

Aren't these the very attributes you loudly expect from a woman? Why not take “Eau Vitaminée” on a date or to bed, huh?

Believe me: “Eau Vitaminée” is not a citrus toilet block imitation. What comes across as masterfully bright yellow here is delicious citrus fruit (more Satsuma than grapefruit) framed by transparent, airy floral notes. All draped on a feather-light, subtly feminine patchouli-amber base. Isn’t it a perfect alternative to the Maneater perfume on fresh summer skin?

So once again: Always thigh-high stockings or sometimes striped overknees? (*critical look*)

Thanks to sunshine Mari for the fragrance sample!

I'll add a cup to that too. A nice comment for a lovely fragrance that definitely needs to be back in my collection.

Even though you've already received so many awards for your description, I have to add one more. Your comment is a funny tribute to the summer scent that even Opium fans will love! Thank you!

Great comment on an amazing fragrance... and yes, I usually prefer striped socks, a big smile, a T-shirt, and silliness too! ;)

I read your comment and still have a bit left in the sample. I didn't like it in the spring, but right now I think it's quite nice! Sometimes it just takes a few tries...

What a great comment!!! And you’re absolutely right about the scent!!! Men may want the vamp in bed, but they end up marrying the laid-back girl in striped over-the-knees, they’re just so pragmatic.

That used to be my go-to summer scent. I still have the mini (full), it's about 12 years old now.

Who claimed that citrus is asexual?

Oh, and the comment should (of course) be taken with a big wink...

@Calliste: Yes, that's exactly what I suspect-only that many men haven't quite discovered it yet. Unfortunately, many in the world of non-perfumistas have a specific type they go for. Women often play along to please.

Well written, but your idea of men? I think most men prefer the citrusy, uncomplicated cheerful scent a thousand times more than the vampy woman. So, you definitely need something like that in your repertoire.

Being well-groomed is always attractive; you don't have to wear a specific scent for that! ^^

Nice comment! Yes, definitely imaginable as a "Maneater" scent during a summer vacation at 40 degrees in the shade on cool sheets, a trophy!
