The Glowing Sun in the Coldest Winter
Yellow Light is clearly inspired by Sun from Jil Sander. I bought Yellow Light for a small price at KIK in the late 90s. I even believe that the brand name was Moara Shira and not Black Onyx.
In any case, the fragrance accompanied me just like Sun during the colder season. I walked 30 minutes to my then workplace in a metal workshop, surrounded by fruity, creamy notes with sweet, powdery delightful accords that melted every ice; that was Yellow Light, and it was not only incredibly cheap but also lasted 5 hours on me.
For me, Sun and this fragrance represent a kind of comfort - a functional scent when you're cold. Both fragrances immediately warm the spirit. Yellow Light has a stronger sillage than Sun but is less long-lasting.
When I often lie in the bathtub, I am surrounded by the sun shower gel, which I like to use as a bath additive for relaxing moments. I enjoy being enveloped by the scent. No matter the manufacturer, I love "the sun" in real life as well because it spreads good cheer.
Yellow Light is wearable 365 days a year, in summer for the good mood it brings and in winter for the relaxing warmth and heat.
By the way, my bottle of Yellow Light is vintage (see photo), I can't say how the current one smells.
