Tender and Slightly Powdery Peony
Bellissima is pretty, feminine and gentle perfume with a friendly and pleasant personality. I am thinking about a charming girl from a small town, sweet and happy, who enjoys simple things in life. There is absolutely nothing dramatic about this scent but it is lovely and pleasant to wear everyday or to give as a gift.

Bellissima is a simple floral scent with a hint of citrus and sheer, lovely wood base. I usually like citrus openings and this one is so nice. The citrus notes are tender and refreshing. The scent develops into a peony bouquet with a bit of passion flower. I know that many reviewers mentioned passion flower as the main note but to me this is a big and lovely bouquet of peonies. Thankfully I do not find it synthetic or boring as peony note in many other perfumes. It is nice and the light citrus freshness from the top notes floats into the heart and makes this perfume airy and fresh. There is a slight powdery note in the peony bouquet but it does not ruin the scent. It just adds cuteness to the scent – like a cosmetic accessory on a vanity table beside the bouquet of peonies. The base notes are light but pleasant woods. The sillage is close to the skin but it works with the coy personality of this perfume and the scent lasts for a while.

This is a lovely everyday scent. It works well in warmer weather, especially in spring. I recommend it if you prefer girly, floral scents with a gentle personality.

Very similar to Moschino's Funny
I've noticed that many reviews liken Bellissima to other scents on the market. On my skin this fragrance does not smell like Ralph Lauren's Romance, D&G The One or L'eau The One. Instead it smells like an exact copy of Moschino's Funny!

From the sharp, citrusy opening of orange, to the rich peony heart and the musky base, the similarities to Funny! are either intentional or a pure coincidence. With that being said, I'd classify Bellissima as a fruity floral.

The scent is very refreshing and Summery, however I do wish that there were more floral notes here, I want to smell the passion flower note badly.

I don't get much in the way of sweetness here, so perhaps that is a fault of my skin chemistry rather than the scent itself.

I just haven't come to terms with how similar Funny! and Bellissima are. I can only wish that I still had a drop left of Funny! so I could compare the two on either wrist.

I applied Bellissima to a piece of paper where I could clearly smell a sweetened, candy-like raspberry note which does remind me of L'eau The One in some instances. However I can not detect this note on my own skin.

Unfortunately I'm disappointed by Bellissima, since I had expected something a little different and more floral. However as a substitute for Moschino's Funny! I'm not all that disappointed.

Update: not a cheapie anymore!
I enjoy the cheapies of my collection--no shame. Not everything can be a face-melting, ultra, ultra exclusif niche masterpiece. Sometimes, I don't want to feel complicated, aloof, or mysterious. Sometimes I just want to smell sweet and simple and no-frills.

I was gifted a partial bottle of Bellissima Parfum Intense a few months ago, and drained it. Then I repurchased, which is rare. It is dense, fuzzy and synthetic without a stitch of irony. The listed notes read like a bunch of nonsense to me; basically you'll get a sweet citrus (orange + jasmine = orange-blossomy-accord) over a vanillic/woodsy/musky base. But it's very pretty, very generic, and indelible on my skin.

I'm sure this perfume was created to ride Flowerbomb's coattails, and it ends up smelling like a La Vie est Belle knock-off (though it predates that blockbuster), which just goes to show that this sweet, fruity floral formula is ubiquitous for a reason: it's popular because it smells good. Confession: sometimes I actually like that powdery synthetic rendition of sandalwood, and Bellissima has it in spades. The bottle is weighty and doesn't feel as cheap as its price tag.

Gentle Joy Even in Winter
Surrounded by the beautiful, oriental yet heavy winter fragrances that are now being offered in perfumeries for the pre-Christmas season, I reached for a subtle bottle with a pink content in my perfume scent overflow. The first spray was almost a little revelation in the world of winter vanilla-spice-musk scents that were joyfully sprayed around me! A small smile crossed my face, and my first thought after the first sniff was: Joy! I understand it now, as grapefruit and orange caress my olfactory center. Then it became floral, but not intrusive, actually very delicately floral. The peony (by the way, one of my favorite floral scents in nature) creates a perfect transition from the cheerful sprightliness of the top note to the beautiful heart note. The base, which I can still perceive on my wrist after several hours, is warm, soft, slightly vanillic, and yet very musky. I am also surprised by the slightly leathery note that is clearly present for me and I find it excellent. A beautiful skin-pure scent. The fragrance slightly reminds me of the wonderful Essence d'Orange by Cartier, although this scent completely lacks the floral aspect and this slightly leathery orange scent stands out.
Although I see Bellissima more as a spring and summer fragrance, it gives me a bit of calm and balance back now in winter. While my surroundings want to envelop me with wild orientals and chypres, I remain discreet and softly reserved.

Surprise!
You know the feeling:
Fragrances transport us.
To flower meadows, to the sea, into the woods, and to many other beautiful - or less beautiful - places.
That's how I feel about Bellissima. This fragrance carries me to a beautiful warm spring day.
I see elegantly and femininely dressed ladies strolling happily and relaxed through a southern city. Lively activity in the streets. Beautiful southern flair.

Bellissima is introduced by a pleasant floral note that is not loud or shrill. The fruity elements also come across rather unobtrusively. All together, it is powdery, elegant, and not overly sweet.
The woody base fits wonderfully into the overall picture.
This fragrance, which I rather emotionlessly ordered online, has pleasantly surprised me.

For me, it is a 100% repurchase candidate.

How many of these unknown and wonderful treasures are still waiting for me?
Better that I don't know :-))

Beautiful, intimate, spicy, woody scent with a hint of freshness, but needs to be reapplied often. Overdoing it is impossible.
