The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Either you love Bond fragrances or you find them hopelessly overrated. I belong to the first faction, and all the Bonds in my possession, as well as those I have had the chance to test, have absolutely convinced me. If you are looking for a scent that you have to work hard to appreciate, you are definitely in the wrong place. However, for my nose, they are all of high quality. The building blocks of the fragrance pyramid are authentic and absolutely not synthetic. Eau de Noho reveals itself quickly, but loses nothing of its beauty in doing so.
When I wear Eau de Noho, I immediately think of Esmeralda. The pretty gypsy, with her sparkling eyes, her colorful, flowing skirt, and wild curls. Always by her side - her loyal goat. She mastered the art of enchanting people with her temperament, amazed with her sleight of hand tricks, and symbolized freedom, wildness, and independence. Thus, mimosa, violet, and mandarin come together in a symbiosis. Only much later does the fragrance develop a slightly melancholic side, which also gives it depth. Amber, a green note, and cashmere wood once again form a harmonious unity that does not want to be questioned.
Esmeralda was entangled in the feelings of three men: Frollo, Quasimodo, and Phoebus. This very entanglement became her tragic fate. The man she loved was lost to her, and the men who loved her could not have Esmeralda. Frollo had her executed, and the poor Quasimodo, who had fought for her until the bitter end, died later at her grave. Despite the tragic ending and the hint of sadness in Eau de Noho, joy and lightness prevail in this fragrance, with which Esmeralda also danced through life impetuously and unyieldingly.
