Bond, the First

Eau de Noho, the first Bond that my nose got to smell. And I liked it right away. Here are my impressions:

Light, yellow, and friendly, fruity-orange, floral. Does the mimosa smell this great? Fresh, slightly sweet, with a hint of green. Distinctive, not the usual lala summer scent. Becomes powdery, now reminiscent of Prada's Iris. Fine woody note towards the end, sillage and longevity are medium, for guys? Hmm, maybe too floral. Price? Nope, too expensive!

Thank you dear Rose1976, a fine little scent that makes me curious about other Bonds. Mind you, only about the fragrances, I was never a fan of the movies. And just now, there was even a compliment for it from the phone technician in the elevator: “If all my projects today smell as good as you, I’ll be happy.” I will use up the small decant, but buy it at that price? No, there are other candidates on the wish list.

And if I had to assign a color to the scent, it would be yellow. A deep, vibrant sun yellow, that's how it smells to me.

I really like the Bond fragrances, and I especially find the fresh ones really good. I think the regular price is a bit high, but there are always good deals where you can find them at a more reasonable price.

Yes, the mimosa really hits you right away! It's a very lovely mimosa scent, but there are actually many mimosa fragrances that are also beautiful and deserve a test ;-)

I love mimosa and I like this Bond too. But I’m not a fan of the Bond bottles - so that’s some money saved. I’ll only buy now if I absolutely love both. Gotta cut back somehow. Super trick, right? :)

Short-and-sweet-to-the-point award! However, I only like the bottles from Bond....

Mimosas really smell lovely - but also significantly cheaper elsewhere, for example at Annick Goutal or L'Artisan. Take a sniff when you get the chance!

No way, not at that price! You can get a scent for yourself and still get the Dali for your man! Trophy first.

Interesting to read. The Bond fragrances have passed me by so far. The bottles are definitely loud and decorative eye-catchers. If you like that... I'll give it a try after your 80% comment. I also want compliments from a technician... :o)

not better, if not even worse, without the fragrance label being so criticized... I haven't come across a Bond that I didn't like yet :-)

I often struggle with the Bond fragrances, and I don't really understand what makes them so expensive. So it's even more delightful to hear that this one worked for you!

Well, I'm really glad you got to test it, rated it with a solid 80%, and even received compliments... In Bond's defense, it must be said that there are definitely some fragrances in this price range that...

Eau de Noho is a particularly fine scent. I really like it. However, I’ve never received compliments like that. Yellow sun trophy!

That was a nice compliment! I haven't had a Bond fragrance under my nose yet. But I do wonder if the prices are really justified. As I said, I can't judge that.

Mimosa? Did I hear Mimosa - then it has to go on the watch list!

Your description has piqued my curiosity. With these high-priced perfumes, there's always hope for a sharing.

So "caution" when the buying reflex kicks in. At Breuninger, the consultant said: Don't look at the price for Bond. Just go to the register and pay. :-))

I usually steer clear of fragrances with outrageous prices. Even if some of them (like Bond and others) are really well done. Why should I test stuff that I wouldn't buy because I find it too expensive?

I have my reservations about Bond *duck*, but I have to admit that your lovely comment makes me quite curious - mimosa, yellow, summer, but also something mysterious..? Sounds excellent *internal wishlist activated*

I feel the same way about the Bonds as you do. Always nice, but buying them? Not really.
