Holidays are coming, Holidays are coming - New York Forever
When I was a child, there was nothing more beautiful than the upcoming Christmas season and the following holidays. For me, Christmas and New Year's Eve are THE holidays when my joy radar is at 10 and I experience the most beautiful emotions. Everything is fun, everything comes to life, you just want to enjoy the lights, the Christmas markets, shopping, dining out, visiting family.
Part of this Christmas season was strangely always watching television. As was customary back then, a constant bombardment of commercials was on the agenda. The most memorable commercial was, of course, the Coca Cola ad with the red Santa Claus and the huge red Coca Cola truck. A catchy song sung with a beautiful voice, the whole feeling of celebration was at its best. Since then, I associate this advertisement with my favorite holidays.
The New York Forever is just like that advertisement: full of anticipation, holidays, euphoria - colors in gold and red really fit well with that. This fragrance combines, I believe, the best of my favorites like "Ambre Narguilé | Hermès," "Angels' Share (Eau de Parfum) | Kilian," and "Khaltat Night (Eau de Parfum) | Attar Collection," just without the penetrating linearity that particularly ruined Angels' Share Eau de Parfum for me. For me, it is difficult when fragrances have too aggressive top notes and do not develop at all; therefore, the latter two had to leave my collection, even though I really liked the direction.
This fragrance has the softest cinnamon note that is just perfectly concentrated. The New York Forever initially comes across almost aquatic; the notes are so clear. Over time, noble patchouli unfolds with vanilla, and I keep smelling something cola-like that makes me smile. The base consists of the finest amber and moss, although the fragrance is not really mossy. Its texture is like liquid amber gold. Wonderful, delicious, and above all, wearable. I have worn and tested the fragrance several times, and at no time did I feel overwhelmed. Suitable for autumn, but I am even more excited to wear it in winter. I find it quite unisex; it is hard to categorize, just a delicious cinnamon delicacy.
