The King of Drugstores

In the summer semester of 2017, I had to do an internship at a school for the subject of French as part of my studies. This internship was very helpful and a lot of fun, but I had to attend a so-called "accompanying seminar," which was quite the opposite. The only cool thing was that you regularly met up with fellow students.
One of them was Klaus. Many people at our institute knew him because he is a very nice and extroverted person whose smile usually makes you laugh as well. Furthermore, it should be noted that his style is always "on point," and as a man, you can pick up a thing or two from him.
So, I went to the seminar with a bit of a bad mood on a spring afternoon. I was quite stressed at university, and a lot was happening in my life at that moment, and to be honest: this seminar was the last thing I wanted to do right now.
I arrived, sat down grumpily next to Klaus, who immediately started to cheer me up. He succeeded quite quickly; after a while, I completely forgot my bad mood. He has that effect on people, thanks to his smile and funny nature. But this time, it was something else.
When we had to be quieter because the professor was explaining something, I noticed that Klaus smelled really good this time. Normally, I had never noticed his fragrances, but this time I thought to myself, "wow." A sweet scent that also has something clean and "smooth" about it. It’s a fragrance that radiates a kind of coolness that isn’t forced. It’s not the cool bad boy with a leather jacket and a cigarette in the corner of his mouth; it’s the guy in a light blue polo with a clean-shaven face. The word "suave" comes to mind in English.
Of course, I immediately asked him what it was, and he said it was Bruno Banani Man. At first, I thought he might have mispronounced Giorgio Armani because Bruno Banani are those drugstore fragrances, right? Those really cheap ones with the ugly, phallic bottles, right? Yes, yes, that’s exactly what it is. Since I still looked at him incredulously, he pulled the little mishap out of his backpack. And lo and behold, yes, it really smells like that. Incredible.
Just two days later, I was more or less a proud owner of this fragrance. A big surprise for me at this price. The scent itself is really very good, in my opinion. It smells clean and is a great companion in everyday life. I often thought that I would have liked to know this fragrance back in school. The longevity is more than acceptable for the price. The sillage isn’t an absolute bomb, but if you’re sitting next to Klaus, you’ll definitely notice it. Only the bottle is, in my opinion, a downside, but no one has to see it.

At this point, I want to thank Klaus for this little tip, and I hope he brings as much laughter to his future students as he always did with us during our studies. Bon voyage et bonne chance!

I can only agree with this observation. This fragrance deserves not to have to grow up in a tilted 😉 bottle.

Haha, I would have never thought of a phallus with that wrinkled thing; I find the Leaning Tower of Pisa comparison much more fitting. But anyway, trophy for the funny story...!

I once dated someone who wore Bruno Banani and thought he would be wearing a sweet, fruity girl’s scent - I wanted to compliment him on his interesting choice of fragrance because it would have been a noticeable contrast to his style/presence. But nope, just Banani. I’m not sure if it was the Banani, but on that guy, it somehow smelled sexy, even if it was a girl’s scent :D. Maybe he just liked the phallic bottle ;).

Phallic bottle? Phew, I guess I've been lucky with my choice of men so far ;-).
