Brit Rhythm for Her Burberry 2014 Eau de Toilette

The three or four Burberrys that I have been able to sniff so far all seemed a bit bland to me. So I set my expectations for Brit Rhythm rather low. I was all the more surprised that I liked this scent right away. And after I criticized a Burberry, it's only fair that I dedicate a few positive words to Brit Rhythm.

Brit Rhythm starts with a sparkling, slightly peppery orange blossom. I'm reminded of fizzy drinks, it tickles pleasantly in my nose. Lavender underlines everything in the background, while iris and musk give the scent a “pure” touch, a fresh *clean and neat feeling*. And my nose picks up a hint of fine leather, yes, yes, I know it's not in there, but I perceive this soft leather note. (Just like I do in Après L’Ondée :o) Towards the base, Brit Rhythm becomes a bit powdery and ends with a warm wood note.

This scent has something noble about it, and it serves as both a business and casual fragrance. The longevity is surprisingly good, lasting about 6 hours on my wrist, and the sillage is subtle but noticeable. Brit Rhythm is not restricted to a particular season, though it might be a bit too weak in sub-zero temperatures.

And after the second test, I raise my rating from 70% to 80%, this scent deserves it.
