What happened to this fragrance?

Discovered Falkar in Athens at the airport. I was totally thrilled! However, the price was too high for me back then. I had the scent lingering on the strap of my messenger bag for days.
Now it was on sale at Douglas. Ordered it quickly. But the disappointment is huge. Much is different. The fragrance seems to have been heavily reformulated. Longevity is really poor. I can spray as much as I want, it disappears in no time. Sprayed the whole polo shirt with it. The next day, there's nothing left to smell. Thank goodness I only bought the "small" bottle...

I had the same concern and wrote to customer service - they assured me that Falkar hasn't been reformulated. What you can try: Use fewer sprays; with more sprays, the molecules get overwhelmed and it doesn't project at all. With 12 sprays, I didn't hear anything from anyone, but with 5-6, I received compliments.

The scents from the Le Gemme line have indeed been reformulated. I've heard here and there that they have also been quite diluted. Unfortunately, I can't comment on that.

Maybe it needs to mature a bit in the bottle?! The testers are often left open/sprayed for longer.

To be honest, it's new to me that the manufacturers of designer brands and/or fragrances go through a maturation process, since they are already 'ready to go' when bottled. Correct me if I'm wrong.
