No honour to the name

Normally I try not to be impressed by the marketing campaigns of perfume manufacturers. In the case of Glacial Essence, I only succeeded to a limited extent. Mountains and glaciers, plus the promise of a very icy fresh scent, were enough to make me want to test the new Bulgari. So quickly a test here ersoukt and from the (ski) ride ...
The top note absolutely keeps what the image film promises. A very cool freshness lies pleasantly on the skin. None of the fragrances exceeds the other, everything is very smoothly coordinated. Unfortunately, this feeling fades away after only a few minutes.

The heart and base notes are dominated by a rather penetrating sweetness that reminds me a lot of the Edt of Dolce & Gabbana K, which was/is absolutely not my cup of tea. A fragrance that tends towards summer shouldn't be that sweet in my opinion. At over 30 degrees, you probably just want to get the scent off your skin. Especially after the promising opening, the fragrance development is a bitter disappointment for me or rather a sweet disappointment. Although Glacial Essence is not a total flop, Bulgari hasn't launched a box office hit with this scent either. Definitely not suitable for a blind purchase. It's a pity when you consider that Alberto Morillas, an absolute master of his craft, is behind this creation.

The shelf life is sufficient, the sillage not necessarily. For an EdP both are below average
