Temperature rising
Sometimes a fragrance becomes your best friend from the very start. Sometimes you watch each other closely from a distance before becoming friends. Sometimes this process takes decades. As with Noa.
For many years I have thought of Noa as a perfume I did not understand. A freak reeking of dirty armpits beneath a fruity/floral cover. I have spoken to so many people who claimed this was their favourite - and I did not understand how it could be. Today I realised that as with Apparition from Ungaro it has to do with temperature. So simple yet so fundamental. Where I sit right now the temperature is around 24 degrees Celsius. I have only tried Noa in cold weather. Here it smells amazing. The musk adds a secret note to the fragrance and this makes it perfect. Right now. Not when I return from my vacation. I guess I just have to enjoy it as long as I can.
