A Scent, A Red Kiss and a Golden Lipstick
Sometimes seeing and reading things that I read, I think that I’m writing in a sea of broken noses. That's especially true for reviewers who sniff with their eyes and prejudices, rather than their sense of smell… even more so in US reviewers, where Guess must be a reviled brand; paradoxically in my country the opposite happens. The truth is that I usually find it funny as brands that are tacky here, are exalted there and vice versa.

Anyway… Beyond social prejudices or the subjectivity of tastes, find out some facts of this release:

This fragrance has an alcoholic opening in the first seconds, which soon fades: This is the only drawback that can be said, because from here, everything else only gets better and better… Subsequently, all that comes is a truly delicious smell and it’s precisely at that moment when you check the label and see that it clearly says “Guess”.

When I tried it in store along with all the new releases from all the brands, I was unmistakably amazed at what was coming out of that red bottle's atomizer. So no, it's not a good fragrance for its price; what it is, is a good scent for any price range (of designers).

The fragrance opens citrusy and fruity with a delicious fresh and creamy sweetness balanced with fig and cinnamon. Soon the kumquat, orange blossom and geranium come into play, keeping the composition vibrant and sparkling. When vanilla, sandalwood and amber gain presence gradually increasing their prominence, the piece is completed in an excellently composed and executed olfactory conjunction.

It’s versatile, attractive, vibrant and seductive… but also addictive. That’s important! Because if a fragrance tires you, it doesn't matter how good an initial impression it makes, right?

Average projection, +/- 8h, nice bottle, good atomizer... At Guess they have done all their homework. If you also find it cheap in your country, I don't know what you're doing wasting the time to go buy it.

Good for $25, but is it good in general?
I picked this up on a whim from a Burlington while clothes shopping, and I saw a few reviews online giving it a positive name. Here is my experience with it:

Scent:
The scent doesn't have any particular smell or direction, it leans into a general mix of just "generic good things" floral, sweet, light smell. That being said, the smell is good, I actually enjoy it and was pleasantly surprised. However, problems started to arise after wearing it for a little bit and going out and about. Personally, when wearing it while out it started to smell a bit too synthetic and alcoholic to me and left me feeling nauseous and worried that I was making others around me feel nauseous too. I just didn't feel comfortable wearing this and wanted to kind of shrink away and be away from the rest of the people near me. Currently because of this I'd rate it a 3. if it didn't have any of the nausea problems probably an 8.

Bottle:
For a $25 fragrance, the bottle is decent and aligns with its affordable price tag. I think the design is good and I am satisfied with the bottle.

Sillage and Longevity:
Considering the price, both sillage and longevity met expectations, meeting at least average expectations for a $25 investment.

Price for Value:
being able to buy a 4.2oz bottle for 25$ at Burlington, it's got pretty good value for the money from a $/ml standpoint.

Conclusion:
Its good for the price yes, but is it good in general? that depends. To me it just came off a bit to synthetic and alcoholic, and personally made me nauseated. In my opinion it would be better to spend another 10-20$ and get something higher quality instead. you get what you pay for, but sometimes you need to pay more

Like a killer band with a short setlist
Purchased at : Ross or Burlington
Price Paid : ?
Bottle format : 1.7 oz
Formulation : Eau De Toilette

I'm pretty sure this was wrapped up in cellophane or something with a price slapped onto it, because I never had the box, and I never had usual accompaniment of its matching body wash or spray. I'm pretty sure this was only around $10-12 as I wouldn't have taken the blind chance otherwise. At any rate, it's a keeper for me and I'll tell you about it.

The top has a very bright, woody open. Almost like a green twig snapping. Hints of lemon cleaner (409) and hints of pine needle. It stays very leafy green for that 3 minutes or so. Slight wet grass. Then the middle notes bring hints of sweet hazelnut and moderate vanilla but are hidden behind a curtain of honey. There's light citrus but almost Mountain Dew-ish? It doesn't get too weird, but it's there if you search for it. The dry-down is strong fig, with lots of fruity-honey notes and some more amber-y vanilla notes, dancing on a backdrop of rosy geranium. After 30 minutes there's a mingling of sweet black coffee and anise, though at times really are only suggestive notes. It gets rather synthetic and chemical-ly from the middle to the end.

When it dries, it shares traits with YSL MYSLF. Where it majorly differs is with the fig and the geranium on the GUESS side, and the strong bourbon and dirty patchouli on the YSL side. Otherwise they're good neighbors, just with different hobbies.

I sprayed my other arm with a tester of MYSLF Le Parfum because I felt it shared some DNA. And it does. I mean MYSLF is just a projection monster, and smells like illicit passion, might get you jumped in an elevator, etc...
Guess Red is far more precautionary and safe for any occasion yet does not get boring.

The bottle is suave, it's a sexy red with a bright shiny melted gold band around it. Some store the lid sideways to look like the Guess logo on T-Shirts, others like me just keep it uniform because I'm uptight. The sprayer is pretty weak on this, you're not going to flip over it, though it does its job.

Performance isn't stellar but not horrible. It drops off in chunks at the 30, 60, and 90 minute marks. It’s gone at 3 hours.

Overall, it's fun, it's sophisticated, and worth a roll of the dice. If you're only spending $10 or $12 like I did, it's a safe blind buy. Performance again is severely lacking. But if you get a small bottle, keep it in your car. For fans of honey, vanilla, fig, and fresh woodsy green notes (though not old man, and not a pine bomb).

In Hungary at...
... Balaton sitting in a café with a fig cake topped with cinnamon and orange pieces in front of me. Alongside, a pot of coffee. I gaze at the activity on and around the lake and lean back relaxed. The day is beautiful and calming.

Upon applying this fragrance, the first notes that hit the nose are fig, cinnamon, and citrus, which blend with floral accords and a hint of kumquat, becoming fruity. The woody notes and the not overly sweet vanilla give it a masculine touch.

The longevity and sillage are average.

This is a fragrance for the gentleman that can be worn at any age and in any season. It can create an atmosphere whether during the day at the office, university, or while exercising, as well as in the evening at a bar or during a meal. The ladies can also give this a try if they wish.

Those who enjoy a fruity sweet, slightly masculine fragrance will find this one quite suitable, and all for a very reasonable price.

Another Stroke of Luck
When I found out that there is a "male counterpart" to my beloved blind buy "Seductive Red (Eau de Toilette) | Guess," I absolutely had to get it for my husband - unfortunately, it was not available anywhere locally according to the internet, so I made another blind buy online and was not disappointed!

Seductive Homme Red starts off fruity and fresh with a lemony note combined with a spicy sweet cinnamon scent. A typically bitter note, which I recognize from many men’s fragrances, is present - I suspect it is sandalwood.
Quickly, more citrus notes emerge, and it becomes a bit more floral, until the fragrance turns woody and warmer towards the end, while still remaining spicy and bitter. The sandalwood becomes even more prominent and stays until the end.

Is the fragrance unforgettable or even unique? Hardly, but I find it to be a successful and interesting scent for men, whether young or older.

Sillage is quite good with several sprays, longevity could be better.
I am satisfied, and fortunately, my husband is too :).

Exactly the same scent as Mandarina Duck for Man or Michalsky Berlin II. Shows some similarities with Boss Bottled and Biagiotti Roma Uomo

A bit fruity, a bit spicy, a bit woody, very generic. Not bad, wearable, but really quite boring. Red or Seductive??? No!

For a men's fragrance, it's quite feminine. An artificial fruit bomb with a focus on kumquat. It's okay..
