A somewhat wistful chypre
or say hello in the fall. Now it's time. Cool, windy and wet. THAT which many have longed for during the great heat. At least for a few hours. There I unpack scents, the memories of the (not past) summer.
Currants together with galbanum give a sunny, warm, also green-fruity Odeur.
Then flowers follow over flowers. Especially roses and daffodils stand out, a combination that has it "in itself". Spring and summer are harmonious together, jasmine and tuberose are fragrant "accessories", not intrusive, rather dignified they support the main actors. A little powdery iris makes the scent very soft and round.
In any case, the "base", which already shines through in the heart of the fragrance, is very fine-woody with moss and a hint of ambergris, which today is felt in the retort. My "Pavlova", which is quite old, could still contain real ambergris. (for which one did not have to kill animals, because it is probably a natural secretion with the whale, which is then "collected" . at least to my knowledge.)
The whole composition has something quietly melancholic about it. I can't say exactly why, but it's probably the age of the scent. And the knowledge that nowadays only very rarely such works of art are created in perfumery.
And at the same time "Pavlova" also has an appearance for "great moments" such as opera or theatre visits or parties and balls.
And it gives the cool season a hint of the warmth of summer.
