@CivetOnly could this lean any sort of feminine, or is it very squarely masc? Sounds like a really lovely combo, just unsure if it's even worth me testing
@Gourmandgrl oh yeah, lavender, mahagony, perfect balance between creamy and powdery with a boozy touch. I think you will love this, initially punchy yes, but turns into an incredibly smooth orangey blend.
@CivetOnly you are such a gem for testing it out further just so I could gain insight through you 🥲🙏 thank you so much!
I generally LOVE lavender, and normally bristle at amberwood - but if you're telling me it's paired with orange and smells like mahogany, I'm intrigued; especially if anything creamy, powdery, boozy, fruit, and smooth sandalwood.
Not a fan of a cedar-coumarin combo 😖 so I'd already rather test this than Carios.
Thank you for the heads up, I'll skip that one altogether - but this one sounds beautiful!
@Gourmandgrl I wore it extensively today (2.5ml drained) to answer this question to the best of my ability. Truth be told - if lavender isn't your enemy, you could easily wear this. Opens quite punchy with almost charred lavandin, but quickly calms down to orangey amberwood. Yes, as much as I like to bash it, amberwood can be gorgeous when used correctly - here it smells like mahagony.
Compared to Carios, you get the perfect balance between balsamic/creamy and powdery with boozy, fruity touches and sandalwood smooths everything out in a more palatable fashion than PdM's cedar-coumarin. I'd suggest sampling them side-by-side to see what can be achieved for 20% of PdM's asking price.

Will revisit it next summer.
