Gardenia by the sea

Style de Paris by Catherine Malandrino is a fruity-floral perfume launched in 2014. It's a little-known perfume, the only one from the brand that I've had access to. Style de Paris is Catherine Malandrino's first fragrance, inspired by the elegance of Paris and the energy of New York.

It is a creamy, white, fruity, juicy, slightly aquatic floral with a warm spicy touch. It opens with a note of very tasty, ripe "Nashi" pear, surrounded by citrus fruits, especially Italian mandarin and "ruby red" grapefruit.

The star of the perfume is certainly the gardenia. A soft, dense flower, combined with a touch of orange blossom and a lightly powdery violet. It gives the impression of a floral, fine, expensive sunscreen.

The base of the perfume is sweet and creamy, but also woody and slightly salty. It has a marine, spicy accord, contrasting with sweet, creamy, amber notes and spicy patchouli. The beach feeling grows as it evolves.

The fruity notes never completely leave the perfume over time, nor does the floral bouquet. It's an interpretation of a clean, beachy gardenia, delicate and comfortable. I've never seen this perfume on sale in Brazilian stores, but if I could, I would definitely buy it. From what I've seen, it's affordable in other countries.
