Dans Paris Celine 2019

i really struggled with this fragrance. As a total fan of Black Tie, I thought I had to try something else from Celine and bought a bottle of Dans Paris in the souk. The first time I sprayed it on, all I could smell was cough syrup. Uiuiui, is that the coriander? Well, nobody wants to smell like cough syrup. In any case, this "cough syrup" had absolute power over my olfactory senses. Gosh, where was the vanilla here? I couldn't smell any of it. But I didn't want to give up. With all these positive reviews and since Black Tie was so beautiful, there had to be something else. 1 week later, the second attempt. Sprayed on. Okay, a little less cough syrup, but suddenly there is a hint of vanilla. Aha, it's getting a little better. 1 more week later, the 3rd attempt: I can no longer detect any cough syrup vibes. Instead, this light vanilla, a little spice from the coriander and a fluffy sweetness! And it stays that way even after further tests. :-) What a beautiful and special fragrance! It doesn't captivate me quite as much as Black Tie, whose vanilla is deeper and smokier and which I absolutely had to have a bottle of, but Dans Paris is always fine and classy and I could imagine wearing it in summer. It certainly won't overwhelm anyone, because like all Celine fragrances it is very close to the skin. Thank goodness it won me over after several attempts. I would have missed out on something.
