A Little Piece of My Mother
Honestly, I find it hard to say anything else about Cerruti other than that it simply smells like my mother to me - and that is meant entirely positively. My mother often wears this fragrance, and that’s why it holds a very special place in my heart. I myself wear it only rarely to preserve its uniqueness.
The scent itself is powdery and woody, complemented by delicate floral elements. However, it is by no means a typical floral fragrance. The flowers play more of a supporting role, while the powdery note envelops them. This scent is not sweet at all, and I wouldn’t say it smells like laundry detergent. It’s a blend that is hard to put into words.
One could imagine it’s like borrowing a sweater from your mother and still perceiving the scent of her good hairspray, the shampoo, a hint of makeup, and the fabric softener. It’s a fragrance that skillfully combines all these facets and thus evokes a very special memory.
