Possibly the Best Among the Fresh Ones!?
This sporty-fresh all-rounder is back in my possession. I knew I couldn't go wrong with it, as AHS was practically my olfactory trademark for several years! ;-) ... Well, until I tried my hand at sweeter and spicier scents at the urging of my girlfriend. I would say it was a success in hindsight, but my preference for fresh-citrusy fragrances with an original "aftertaste" is probably something that won't leave me. To each their own! :-)
As a fragrance twin, I am currently comparing AHS with the significantly cheaper (why is that, anyway?) Versace pour Homme, which I also like, but in my opinion, it lacks the mentioned special quality (see my comment elsewhere). VPH remains simply citrusy from the top note to the base note, where a hint of woodiness comes in. I wonder where the Oud indicated in the ingredients is actually incorporated? But never mind ...
AHS, in any case, starts off much softer, but in my opinion, after about 10-15 minutes, it reveals a much more complex foundation. This shows once again that it's not just the ingredients that make a fragrance, but their individual composition, perhaps also the quality of the perfume oils used. In comparison, AHS is the better fresh scent for me, as it comes across as a bit more complex and "noble." I guess it's also the pepper and vanilla that make the difference in the end, but that's pure speculation! ;-) In any case, over time, slightly powdery and sweet notes emerge, making AHS personally suitable for evening wear as well!

I think both are amazing! But the VPH has better sillage and is just a nose ahead for me. Photo finish!
