Very helpful Review
The Beginning...
... of a passion!
Chanel Allure Homme Sport was my first "real" fragrance. I was still in training when I discovered it for myself. I had to save for a long time before I could afford it...
But from then on, it belonged to me for quite a while!
It was the one that sparked my passion and interest in perfume. With it, I became the addict I am today (hence my chosen title^^)
I thought long and hard about which fragrance I should dedicate my first comment to, one of my current favorites, a classic, or the one with which it all began... and it could only be this one for me.
I have many memories that I associate with Allure Homme Sport: I experienced many exciting, positive, new experiences with it ;-) When I smell it today, I immediately think back to my "storm and stress" period ;-)
But now to the actual scent:
- it starts off very refreshing, cool, citrusy for me.. I don't perceive the aldehydes as I do with other fragrances, and I hardly smell the seawater (which is very positive for me)
- as it develops, it gains a certain sharpness that I have always liked very much, and this sharpness is quickly and well balanced by the softer components of vanilla, tonka bean, musk, and amber
- this base note reaches AHS on my skin relatively quickly and lasts for about 5 hours. What remains at the end is a pleasant sporty-elegant sweetness
- I also own the aftershave, but unfortunately, my skin is a bit too sensitive for it, as I had to find out, so I have only used it very rarely. Otherwise, it is excellent for intensifying the scent a bit more
I have always received many positive reactions and compliments for this fragrance. A good friend of mine back then would always grab the bottle as soon as she came to visit and would smell it in a trance for hours, just holding it in her hands; she was obviously thrilled too ;-)
Nowadays, this fragrance doesn't quite match my current taste anymore, but I will always remember it as something very special...
And now and then, I still wear it and reminisce... about a successful scent and a great time with it!
