Another gap in my knowledge that needs to be filled. I don't even know why, but right now I'm really taken with the elegance of Chanel. Great description!
The scent is great. What I really hold against Chanel: They've practically discontinued all perfumes/extraits and only offer a few in huge containers for several thousand euros. They've completely lost it.
Chanel elegance at its finest. It's a close-to-skin yet present scent, like a second skin. Mandarin and honeysuckle take center stage, with just the right touch of vanilla adding sweetness, and I suspect a hint of lightly creamed sandalwood in the base. Nothing is overwhelming, nothing stands out too boldly. I don't find the scent too powdery.
I tested a current version, and I suspect it has been revised and toned down. But I think the scent is great!
