Forest Scent, My Love
I walk through the forest in my green leather jacket. It’s April. It rained earlier, now the sun is shining. I smell flowers, moss, and slightly damp wood. It’s beautiful here.
After months of circling around this scent, repeatedly entering the store, spraying it on, hesitating - I finally bought it. I didn’t hesitate because of the scent itself, which fascinated me from the very first second, nor because of the price. It was my age back then (early 20s) and the scent felt very grown-up and mature. Would one claim it’s an old lady scent? At some point, I suddenly didn’t care anymore and bought it. The saleswoman even mentioned that it doesn’t sell very often. So I expressed my fear that I might be too young for this scent, and she simply said, “Even retirees buy sugary bombs like that one (pointing to the Dior shelf, probably Hypnotic Poison) everyone should wear what they like, period!” How right she was. Beaming with joy, I left the store. Since then, I’ve received several compliments for the scent. One person actually said, “Grandma scent, boring,” but that person belongs more to the Bruno Banani / Axe -Overkill faction, so: I can live with that ^^.
When I study, I wear N°19 because it transports me to the forest scenario described above. It helps me focus and has a calming effect on me. I can wear it every day.
