… I try to love the scent. Today I had it sprayed on again and now I’m giving up for good. It smells to me like “Grandma under the arm”! Yes, dear editorial team, like a very floral deodorant that my grandma used!
I can't help it! I immediately stand in front of my grandma's 50s bedroom dresser. You know, the one with the foldable mirrors, and I rummage through her cosmetics. Hair tonic here, Elnett hairspray there, and somewhere in between an aging Rubinstein powder with a thick puff! That’s how the supposed masterpiece smells to me… like Grandma powdered with Rubinstein!
We will no longer be friends… even if you remind me of my grandma.

Spray it on? I think you posted your review for the wrong fragrance. The perfume is dabbed on and can only be tested directly at Chanel. You probably mean the Chanel No 5 Eau de Parfum, which can be easily tested everywhere, it's a spray and smells quite different from the perfume.

Are you sure you tested the perfume and not the EDP? The perfume can't be sprayed on. I don't really like the EDP either, but I enjoy wearing the Extrait.
