Platinum Égoïste Chanel 1993 Eau de Toilette

I found this fragrance after trying Cerruti 1881 Silver, which I loved, and which was supposed to be similar to Egoiste Platinum. The are in fact similar, the main difference being the sour and bitter aspect of the scent, which I interpret as freshly mown grass. This side is similar to Paco Rabanne Invictus and I dislike it. In my opinion, it spoils the scent a bit. The rest is very good, though. I can see how some people may find the sharpish sour part similar to Parfums de Marly Percival or Montblanc Explorer. Overall, I think Silver is better balanced, although maybe a tiny bit too sweet and a tad artificial, kind of soapy. My ideal scent would sit somewhere between the two. If you like this archetype, Mercedes Benz Silver is also worth checking.
