Red Nephrite
It opens with that unmistakable green-tart quality of rose oil—sharp, fresh, and fleeting—layered with the bitter snap of petitgrain and a flash of pink pepper. It’s a spicy green flicker that disappears almost as soon as it arrives.
Then comes the plunge.
Sweet florals and resin take over, slow and humming. The official release uses Bulgarian rose absolute from Albert Vieille—arguably one of the finest natural rose materials out there. You can smell it: dense, velvety, almost orchestral in its depth. Supporting it is tolu balsam, soft and pliable like warm amber, rich with vanilla-laced sweetness.
Rose and resin, heavy yet soft—like sinking into a ruby-red cushion. There’s a syrupy richness here, but it’s so smooth, so well-blended, you hardly notice the weight.
Longevity? Impressive. It wears for nearly 9 hours, with the rose holding steady for at least 6. As the floral heart fades, it hands off to a low, resinous drydown where tolu takes the lead, closing the scent in a deep, ambered hush.
It’s not a delicate, complex composition—it’s a heavy kind of love.
