Valentine's Gag :D
So folks, good evening!
Today is Valentine's Day!
*wüüüüüüüüüüüüüüüüüüüüürggggg*
No no, don't get me wrong, I'm neither insensitive nor unromantic, nor anything else, but… well, I'm single and have been since the dawn of time or something, and you all know that, so what did you expect me to react like? :DD
“Events” like Valentine's Day can sometimes be a nightmare for some singles. I have nothing against lovers and such (even if they can be really damn annoying at times! :D)… but as a single, such things can be extremely annoying, especially when you see so many offers and advertisements with roses and hearts and chocolates and guys playing lutes (is it even a lute? Or more like a guitar? Quick check on Google and... nooooo, even Google has a Valentine's Day logo with lovey-dovey insects... and I must admit, it actually looks cute...) as well as everything else related to this crap. So please excuse me if I react a little bit irritated to this topic and just write *wüüüüüürg* :D
Therefore, today I won't describe a fragrance with *yuck* stuff in it, like roses or anything, but just some random scent. I wish I had a nerdy fragrance available, or something that doesn't smell like going out and flirting, to completely distract from the topic and not have to think about romantic stuff, but unfortunately, I'm still not in Germany and thus have a limited selection when it comes to fragrances. So today I'm turning to Aromatics in Black by Clinique and hoping that the scent is just a nice scent, without reminding me too much of romance. Luckily, the bottle is already black like my soul, mu ha ha ha ha :DD
*complain* *complain* *complain* I know it's always the same tune... so what??
*sigh*
Alright, I'll finally get to the scent,…
**The Scent:**
The scent starts with wonderful, fresh citrus notes. I smell lime as well as a bit of grapefruit and bergamot. Shortly after, these citrus notes blend with beautiful resins like myrrh and powdery and sweet scents like jasmine and tonka bean.
A little later, the citrus notes fade a bit, as they often do, and myrrh and especially jasmine become significantly stronger and are currently the main scent notes here. But the fragrance still appears fresh.
A bit later, the scent becomes even sweeter, in a nice, gentle way. The neroli with its lovely scent fits beautifully with this. Of course, the neroli also fades over time and recedes further into the background, but it can still be perceived now and then as a nice, fruity note. The scent itself fades at the end primarily with the main notes of jasmine, myrrh (or resins), and powdery notes. A very nice fragrance that you should definitely try!
**The Sillage and Longevity:**
The projection is quite good, so the scent can be lightly and extensively smelled for a (short) while without becoming too strong and overwhelming. However, I felt like it weakened a bit too quickly afterward. I would estimate the longevity at the typical eight to nine hours, although it is noticeably weaker in the last few hours.
**The Bottle:**
The bottle is oval-cylindrical and shiny black. On the front, the name of the fragrance is displayed in golden letters. The large cap is cylindrical and also black. A beautiful bottle.
So, I like this fragrance. It starts fresh and then becomes increasingly sweeter, but not really heavy, so it feels like an all-rounder to me, a scent suitable for any season. It is also olfactorily suitable for many occasions, whether during the day at work or in leisure time, or even in the evening when going out. Or even for Valentine's Day… *yuck* no no no, it is NOT suitable for that, he he he *sigh* ... but it must smell wonderful on a lady's skin, making it suitable for being indulged in.... argh :D
Anyway, I think you can't go wrong with such a lovely fragrance! So it's definitely worth a try!
So, that's it from me again… Hmmm,… to all those who can relate to this Valentine's Day, I wish you a nice day, or that you had a nice day, since I'm publishing this comment in the evening. All others who can relate to this day just as little will surely understand me and forgive my many *yucks* :D
Either way, I wish you a lovely evening :) Until next time.

I've always wanted to try that scent, even though I'm afraid that the jasmine combined with neroli wouldn't be for me. I have the white version, and that's always a bit of a wild card. There's also that cherry variant, which I haven't sniffed yet. Cherry, not Chérie... yuuuuck! ;-)
